• Apple ID Information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID email address (or a private relay email if you choose to hide your email) and a unique user identifier.
• Journal Entries: The daily notes and journal entries you create within the App.
• Usage Data: Information about how you use the App, including features accessed and interaction patterns.

Automatically Collected Information

We automatically collect certain information when you use the App:

• Device type and operating system version
• App version
• Time zone and locale settings
• Crash logs and performance data

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Provide the Service: To store and display your journal entries, generate AI-powered weekly summaries, and create your Yearly Wrapped experience.
• AI Processing: Your journal entries are processed by OpenAI's API to generate personalized weekly summaries and yearly reviews. This processing occurs securely, and we do not train AI models on your personal data.
• Subscription Management: To process payments and manage your subscription through RevenueCat.
• Notifications: To send you daily reminder notifications at 8pm (if enabled).
• Improve the App: To understand how users interact with the App and make improvements.
• Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries and provide support.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices:

• Database: Your journal entries and account information are stored in Supabase, a secure PostgreSQL database platform with encryption at rest and in transit.
• Encryption: All data is encrypted using TLS during transmission and AES-256 encryption at rest.
• Access Control: Your data is only accessible to you through your authenticated account.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. Specifically:

• Weekly summaries are retained for the duration of your account.
• Yearly Wrapped data is generated annually and retained with your account.

If you delete your account, we will delete all of your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: You can access all your journal entries and data within the App at any time.
• Export: You can export your data from the Settings menu in the App.
• Deletion: You can delete individual entries or request complete account deletion.
• Correction: You can edit or correct your journal entries at any time.
• Opt-Out: You can disable notifications and opt out of non-essential data collection.
